St. Valentine perhaps did not exist but in his name we remember Cupid and Psyche.
 
In ancient Rome, February 14th was the day when those pierced by Cupid's errant arrows remembered the Love of Eros for Psyche ... fragile like a butterfly, she needed to be nurtured with tender kisses ... ethereal love arrows to be blown by the bow of upper lips ...
