Detail from "Emperador Maximiliano II" c. 1550 by Antonio Moro (1519-1576) - El Prado Museum, Madrid, Spain. (see his cousin)

Son of Emperor Fernando I and Ana of Hungary. Educated in Spain along with his cousin Felipe II. He became the King of the Romans, Hohemia and Hungary and Emperor in 1564.

Note the Hapsburg "facies", particularly the overgrowth of the mandible, jaw or lower maxilla.

The painting is stereotypic of the style used by "Tiziano" (Titian).
