"Aurore and Cephale", by Pierre Narcisse Guerin (1774-1833) - Louvre Museum, Paris, France. 

Aurora or Eos was the Goddess of the dawn. Cephalus was the son of King Deioneus of Thessaly. Aurora fell in love with Cephalus and spirited him away but he rejected her, giving rise to other tragic events.
