Model of the "Aesculapius Temple Complex" in Epidaurus - Science Museum, London, Great Britain.

Note: The most important of the many shrines of Asclepius built c. 250 B.C. Patients slept in the long colonnaded buildings behind the round temple. Devoted priests interpreted the dreams of patients who upon leaving left "votive" tablets depicting the body areas they "voted" or wished to be cured.
