"Saint Georges combatant le dragon" by Micel Colombe
(1430-1512?) - Louvre Museum, Paris, France.

 

Note: sculpted in Tours for the chateau de Gaillon consecrated to Saint George, patron of
the Cardinal of Amboise. The work was probably executed with theassistance of three
Italian sculptors; Jerome Pacherot, Jean Chersal and Bertrand de Meyenal.
