Note a strong facial, particularly nasal, resemblance of those portrayed, who have different "family" names, thus presumably different fathers and mothers. A biologic explanation may be that they are illegitimate half paternal [non maternity is rare] brothers or are otherwise related. An alternative is that the painter was inaccurate.
