"Triptolemos in his winged chariot bringing wheat to mankind", Water Jar or Terracotta hydria, c. 490 B.C., Greek, Attic, Attributed to the Troilos Painter - Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, New York.

Note: (extract from a museum explanatory note) Athens controlled the sanctuary of Demeter (Ceres) at Eleusis and claimed that the Goddess had given wheat and the secrets of agriculture to Triptolemos, a local prince - a common motif on Attic vases show a youth in a winged chariot dispensing wheat to the world.
