Note: Painted for Count Horatio Gaetani of Rome, the
scene depicts Telemachus and Mentor being welcomed by
Calypso. Telemachus feels sorrow induced by songs about
the absence of his father Odysseus and Calypso motions
to her Nymphs to become silent.
