Note: Palm trees have no relation to palmistry as the palm of a hand has. Following the discovery that Trisomy 21 was the primary cause of Down Syndrome which includes the presence of distinctive palmar ridged skin signs (unusual patterns), the science of Dermatoglyphics (the study of glyphs or dermal ridges  on the volar skin of palms, soles and digital tips) gained impetus.
