Pulse
Push Police Beat Batter Apoplexy |
To explore "the pulse" of ideas in PULSE, our imPULSE is to link Pulse with Push (Latin pallere).
Next we refer to Police which may be "pushy".
In Spanish, "Pulso", "Pulsar", "Pulsera" point toward
linkages of "pulse" with "to finger" (stroking) and
"wrist bracelet".

Pulsera |
Pulse, beat and strike include ideas similar to those in batter, battle and stroke or apoplexy.
Another point is that stroking may also be affectionate as in "pulsar" which in Spanish may imply "finger
stroking" or petting a beloved to "pulsate", reverberate or quiver and relatedly to induce
accelerated arterial pulsations.

The beating heart is the cause of arterial pulses. Pulse reflects the impulse of
a blood wave impelled by the contraction of the heart that pushes and lifts the walls of an artery. A hard pulse may be a sign
of arterial hypertension and be a prodrome (pre run,
forecast or forerunner) of APOplexy which refers to a
blow to the brain, most often caused by oxygen
deprivation of cerebral tissues.

Pulsating Pulse |
Ancients believed that
"arteries" carried "air", which is in part accurate
since arterial blood transports air oxygen.
