To replace memorization by understanding in a consistent manner and style, an electronic medical and biomedical thesaurus was complied by a single author (W. Wertelecki, M.D.). The software draws from the extensive contents of an encyclopedic dictionary with and emphasis on etymology and ideas in words drawn from any language, mythology and other sources needed to show the roots and ideas in medical and biomedical nomeclature.

As a strategy to help students gain vocabulary and prep for better verbal scores, the computer search engine displays "a word of the day" or seeks a term at any time. Etymology expanded by ideas in words makes professional life easier and richer. It is also fun for linguaphiles to gaze at unexpected dimensions as for instance found in
