"Las Meninas" (see detail) (or The Family of Phillip IV) by Diego Velazquez, c. 1656 (Menina denotes "little lady", girls dressed as "mini ladies" as well as dwarfs and midgets, in this instance the focus of attention is the Princess and a Menina who has achodroplasia) - Prado Museum, Madrid, Spain. D. Velazquez also painted two other individuals ("El bufon don Sebastian de Morra" and "Francisco Lezcano, el Nino de Vallecas") with achondroplasia.
